Chris Figueroa created Community Sports Academy with the mission of providing a positive impact on the youth in the Bronx community through the sport of basketball. Mr. Figueroa has played basketball since he was ten years old and gives credit to the sport in making him the man he is today; hence, his transition into coaching over 20 years ago. While developing and mentoring players, he has expanded his programs to grow and support kids as they mature into young men and women. Experiencing and witnessing this support and positive influence basketball can have on the quality of child’s life, has motivated Mr. Figueroa to start this organization where he can create an even greater impact that goes beyond basketball. CSA is a non-profit organization that strives to help youth through the sport of Basketball. We are focused on developing player on the court but off the courts as well.
